Executive Session

 The Board will be going into Executive Session pursuant to RCW 42.30.110 to consider personnel matters. The Executive Session will last 15 minutes.  Executive Sessions are not open to the public and no action will be taken.

Executive Session

The Issaquah School Board, Superintendent Thiele and members of the Administration will go into an Executive Session pursuant to RCW 42.30.140 related to collective bargaining.  This session last 45 minutes.  Executive Sessions are not open to the public and no action will be taken.

The regular board meeting will be hybrid with pre-registration for in-person and also live-streamed on Zoom https://issaquah-wednet-edu.zoom.us/j/99435757490 or via telephone 1-253-215-8782, ID# 994 3575 7490 and follow the prompts.  You may also observe on our YouTube Channel.

Anyone wishing to attend in-person must pre-register by noon on May 13 by emailing Diane Ghanbari at ghanbarid@issaquah.wednet.edu or calling (425) 837-7002.  Pre-registration is required by the Miscellaneous Venues guidance provided by Governor Inslee.  If you attend the meeting in person, you must complete the attestation and temperature check.  The attestation/contact information will be kept on file for 28 days for contact tracing purposes.

Public Input can be given the following ways:

  • Via Zoom, if you are connected by a device with a microphone
  • In-person if you have pre-registered by noon on May 13
  • Email the Board at schoolboard@issaquah.wednet.edu

Guidelines for public participation at board meetings

Board meetings are open to the public. They are designed to conduct board business rather than to serve as a public hearing, unless a public hearing is scheduled. To comment on an agenda item requires recognition by the board president. To comment on a topic not on the agenda, request recognition by the board president under agenda item Public Input. In the interest of time management, individual input is limited to three minutes; four minutes will be allowed for input on behalf of a group (three or more people present). Any person wishing to have his/her comments attached for the record to the official minutes may submit a prepared statement to the board secretary prior to the oral presentation.

Comments/concerns relative to the district personnel will not be heard in public; rather, they should be directed through the Parent Complaints Against District Employees policy, obtained through the superintendent's office at (425) 837-7002.
