Work/study Session - Debrief on meetings regarding post high school opportunities, and the Nov. 28th meeting on the upcoming boundary review process.
On November 1st and November 7th, the school board held discussions regarding post high school ed opportunities for Issaquah students. At this work/study session, the board will debrief on what they heard and what next steps are appropriate. The Board will also debrief a work/study session on Nov. 28th to receive preliminary data relative to the upcoming boundary review process which included a favored option identified to build E-15 and close Clark Elementary as a K-5 school in Sept. 2009).

This is a standing opportunity for the ASB representative to the School Board to report on various student events and activities District-wide.
The administration will present proposed budget parameters for the development of the 2008-09 budget.
Prior to this meeting the Board will hold a work/study session to debrief information received at a special meeting on November 1, and at the regular board meeting on November 7, regarding post high school admissions. This agenda topic is to provide an opportunity for any followup direction or action the board may wish to take.
The administration will present Biology by McDougal Littell from the Instructional Materials Selection Committee for Board approval.

This is an opportunity for the board to discuss various meetings/events/activities related to the Issaquah School District, including 1) date options for joint meeting with Renton School Board/City Council in January, 2) date options for joint meeting with Newcastle City Council, 3) date for a board/superintendent mini-retreat on "the first six months."
Board meetings are open to the public. They are designed to conduct board business rather than to serve as a public hearing, unless a public hearing is scheduled. Individuals wishing to give public comment on a specific agenda item where public comment is being accepted should wait to be recognized by the Board President during that agenda item. All other public comment should be given under the agenda item Public Comment. In the interest of time management, individual input is limited to two minutes. An individual may also submit a prepared statement to be given to the board secretary prior to the oral presentation.
Comments/concerns relative to district personnel should not be heard in public; rather, they should be directed through the Parent Complaints Against District Employees policy, obtained through the superintendent's office at (425) 837-7002.
