Summary of July 24, 2012 Bond Sale - Board
On July 24th a sale of bonds was held at Seattle NW Securities with board action taken at the 6 p.m. special board meeting. The sale and meeting will be summarized for the public.
Summary of Work/Study Session - Board
Prior to the start of the regular meeting, the Board conducted a work/study session on the drafted annual budget for 2012-13 and will summarize the work/study for the public.
PUBLIC HEARING: 2012-13 Budget Hearing - Rasmussen
As required by law, the District will conduct a PUBLIC HEARING on the drafted budget for the 2012-13 school year. Action is scheduled for August 22nd.
Waiver Request - Calendar - Rasmussen/Bongard/Thiele
The administration will present a resolution requesting the State Board of Education grant a waiver for two school days identified on the 2012-13 calendar as parent conference days.
Transfer of Territory from Tahoma to Issaquah School District - Rasmussen/Kuper
The District has followed procedures to process a request for a parcel of property currently located within the Tahoma School District Boundaries to transfer into the Issaquah School District. The request was filed through Puget Sound ESD as prescribed by RCW 28A.315.195 .

Board meetings are open to the public. They are designed to conduct board business rather than to serve as a public hearing, unless a public hearing is scheduled. Individuals wishing to give public comment on a specific agenda item where public comment is being accepted should wait to be recognized by the Board President during that agenda item. All other public comment should be given under the agenda item Public Comment. In the interest of time management, individual input is limited to two minutes. An individual may also submit a prepared statement to be given to the board secretary prior to the oral presentation.
Comments/concerns relative to district personnel should not be heard in public; rather, they should be directed through the Parent Complaints Against District Employees policy, obtained through the superintendent's office at (425) 837-7002.
